An independent tool for estimating modeled duct-system pressure loss.

Who maintains it

DuctStatic is built and maintained by Ryan Workman, an HVAC consulting engineer. It is an independent tool, not a product of an engineering firm or equipment manufacturer.

What it does

DuctStatic estimates pressure losses through modeled duct systems using the loss-coefficient method, straight-duct friction, and entered manufacturer pressure drops. It reports the modeled critical-path loss, not an unqualified fan static pressure or equipment external static pressure. Confirm the system boundary, terminal ratings, and publisher basis before applying any result to design or fan selection.

See the Verification and limits page for exactly what has been checked, how results were reproduced, and what remains outside the scope. This is an engineering-estimation tool for review; results must be verified by a qualified engineer before use in design or construction.
